Can Colin help me update my New Arrivals collection weekly?
Every Sunday evening I update New Arrivals collection from products added last week. Can Colin do that for me?
Yes. Colin can do that.
The clean way is to use a Schedule with Populate only.
Colin can populate the collection from Campaign-owned conditions, leave the collection’s saved Colin conditions untouched, and then wait until the next scheduled run before rebuilding that product set. Daily sync will not keep changing it in between.
Here’s how:
- Open the collection in Collections.
- Turn on Populate by Colin.
- Leave the collection’s standing Colin conditions empty.
- Create a Schedule for Monday.
- Choose Populate only.
- Add conditions for products added within the last 7 days.
- Optionally add Sort only if you want Colin to reorder the newly populated products without changing the collection’s saved Advanced Sort strategy.
- Save the Schedule.
Every Monday, Colin will rebuild that Colin product block from the current 7-day set. The products selected on Monday stay in place until the next scheduled run.
